Colin Flashman Motorcycles is a family-run motorcycle business based in St Anns Chapel, Gunnislake, on the Devon and Cornwall border. For 50 years, riders across Tavistock, Callington, Launceston, Plymouth, and beyond have trusted us to keep their bikes on the road. Whether you ride a modern sportsbike, a daily commuter, a classic British machine, or a motocross bike, we have the experience and the expertise to look after it.

Our Story

Founded in 1975, Colin Flashman Motorcycles has grown from a small repair workshop into one of the most respected independent motorcycle businesses in the South West. With over 50 years of hands-on experience in the motorcycle trade, we have built our reputation the old-fashioned way — through honest work, fair pricing, and a genuine passion for motorcycles.

Our business has always been built on word of mouth. When your neighbour, your riding mate, or your local bike club recommends a garage, that trust means everything. It’s something we never take for granted, and it drives every job that comes through our doors.

What We Do

We are a full-service motorcycle workshop offering everything from a quick oil change to a complete engine rebuild. We like to keep the work in-house wherever possible — it gives us full control over quality and keeps costs down for you.

Motorcycle MOT testing (bikes, scooters, sidecars, and trikes)
Full servicing and repairs across all major brands
Advanced diagnostic code reading — ABS faults, ignition faults, dash faults, emissions, and service light resets
Engine rebuilds, valve clearances, and crank pressing and balancing
Suspension servicing — fork seals, oil, set-up, and tuning
Spoked wheel building, straightening, and upgrades (Talon, SM Pro, Excel)
Tyre fitting and balancing with a large stock of leading brands including Pirelli, Dunlop, Michelin, Bridgestone, and Avon
Aluminium welding, sand blasting, brazing, and thread repairs
Motocross repairs and maintenance
Motorcycle collection and delivery service

Parts & Accessories

Our on-site shop carries a wide range of parts, consumables, and accessories to keep you riding. We stock EBC brake pads and clutch plates, NGK spark plugs, HIFLO oil and air filters, batteries, chains, sprockets, cables, oils for two-stroke, four-stroke, and classic motorcycles, as well as a growing range of helmets, clothing, and motocross gear. If we don’t have it on the shelf, we can usually get it in the same day.

Motorcycle Sales

We regularly have a selection of quality used motorcycles for sale, all fully safety checked. We also accept part exchanges. Every bike we sell comes with a 3-month warranty as standard, because we stand behind what we sell. No hard sell, no pressure — just good bikes at fair prices.

Warranty

Colin Flashman motorcycles is a small Family run motorcycle shop established in 1975, Our business is built on word of mouth and satisfied customers and we do our very best to keep you happy.

Our standard Warranty for all motorcycles is a 3 month warranty*,
this covers all aspects of the motorcycle apart from wear and tear items.
so in the unlikely event in the first 3 months you find a problem with your motorcycle just give us a call and pop the bike back for us to inspect..

If as a buyer you push for a large discount we will still offer a 2 month 750 mile limited warranty which covers for mechanical but not electrical faults, for obvious reasons we are unable to offer a full warranty when selling at a discounted price, all bikes are sold fully safety checked.

All warranties the buyer is responsible for returning the motorcycle to Colin Flashman Motorcycles for the repair work to be carried out, Colin Flashman Motorcycles will not be liable for Recovery of the vehicle.**

Items not covered by Colin Flashman Motorcycles

accidental damage of any kind.
damage caused by racing, wheelies or burnouts etc.
damage caused by failing to follow the terms of the warranty above.
mis-use of any vehicle including off road riding,
vehicles older than 7 years - electrical faults caused by age of vehicle or water damage,
Auxiliary after market fitted parts, eg, spotlights, additional lights, heated grips (when not standard fitment) phone chargers etc,
Any form of water damage or ingress
In the event of a Returned goods, there shall be a re stocking fee of upto 10% of purchase price, it is at the customers expense to return the vehicle and the amount deducted with be based on milage, wear and tear and admin fees,
if the vehicle is returned for warranty for investigation and subsequently no fault is found the customer agrees a charge will be added for workshop labour. -

*All warranties are subject to a 1 month or 500 miles (which ever comes first) FREE inspection. this can be arranged at time of sale for a date which is convenient - 1500 is the maximum milage covered under our warranty package.
**In most cases, if local to Colin Flashman motorcycles we will collect the bike at a reduced rate to help the buyer,
